I met with Dan & Melanie and their gorgeous kids at Paterson Park located on the shoreline of Lake Ontario in Kingston, Ontario

Although many families are opting for mini sessions these days its always a treat to get to spend more time with a family and discover their unique bonds. This allows us not to think so much about time and updated photos but rather gives us time to really relax, connect and produces images that have true emotion, meaning and don’t feel forced and awkward.  

Melanie and I worked together to style her familiy’s wardrobe for the session. We knew we were headed into the fall but had a lingering summer feel and a beachy location. We aimed for a light and subtle feel without busy patterns so that the family could feel comfortable to explore and walk along the pebble stone beach.

This session makes me so happy! what a gift it is to have a collection of beautiful images of your family like this. I love the way the boys snuggle into mom at that pre-teen age and how daddy can still have his little girl in his arms before she grows so fast he didn’t see it coming.
